The 2024 Goalkeeper Kit draws inspiration from the Poinsettia Plant, first brought to America by South Carolina native Joel Roberts Poinsett in the 1800s. Poinsett’s name and images of the plant are featured throughout Greenville, most notably in Poinsett Plaza adjacent to the Poinsett Hotel on Main St. in downtown.
The Poinsettia Red kit pays tribute to the plant, a symbol of the holiday season. The vibrant red is accented with a teal and aqua leaves that form a poinsettia flower pattern on the chest, and a jock tag crest featuring a geometric Poinsettia outlined by a “GVL SC USA” script.
